Protea flowers come in many colors, textures, shapes and sizes which make them diverse.
At Protea Family Day Care, we embrace children’s uniqueness in harmony.
My name is Seonggyeong Sylvia Chae and I am the operator of Protea Family Day Care. I appreciate the opportunity to welcome new friends and families into our Family Day Care Service and our home.
I’m originally from South Korea. I live with my husband Ryan who is from Korea and works as a FIFO chef, my younger sister Serena(20) who works as a professional chef in local restaurant and my son Leonardo (2). I currently hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and care (ECEC) and a Bachelor in Theology. I came to Australia in 2013 and gained a Diploma(ECEC) in 2016. I have worked in the child care centre as a room leader in Perth for 3 years and in OSHC as a coordinator in Busselton for 3years. I had worked as child/youth minister and participated international child/youth camp as a camp leader in the USA, Vietnam and South Korea.
We value each child as a unique individual with a great capacity to learn and make positive contributions. We provide a loving, caring, safe and positive home like environment with child focused opportunities for learning. Our service encourages children to respect and explore the natural world and cultural diversity through play and experience. We comply with National Regulations, National Quality Standards and use the Early Years Learning Framework ’Being, Belonging, Becoming’ as a guide.
Protea FDC is located opposite the park. Children will love to connect with our local community by visiting local parks, natural environments and arranged play dates with other Family Day Care Educators from our area.
Protea FDC operates three days a week Tuesday to Thursday 7.30am – 5.30pm. We aim to build relationships with families based on honesty and trust.
