REGAN BRUCE

Welcome to Joybells Explorers Family Day Care. I  opened my family day care centre with the goal of providing a fun, interactive and safe environment that respects children’s uniqueness and allows them to develop at their own pace.  My name is Regan Bruce, and I am a Registered and Approved Early Childhood Educator.  Between my partner, Greg and I we have six children and seven grandchildren. I have provided respite for foster families for the past fifteen years and spent six years as a Support Worker working with children with disabilities.

Greg Albrighton is the Educators Assistant who will accompany me on outing, assist with activities and carry out school drop offs and pickups. Greg is an experienced youth support worker and mentored many disadvantaged children throughout his support work career.

Our top priority is ensuring your child feels safe, accepted and respected. For both families and children, moving to a new early learning centre may be a stressful experience, so to assist with this adjustment, we can schedule a few "stay and play" days before your child commences daycare. This will help develop relationships and form attachments between your child and their educators.  We place value on developing a solid relationship with your family, as it has a significant impact on your child's early learning success. It would be ideal if we were aware of your child's interests, preferences, dislikes, and any special requirements, as this will assist us in integrating your child's interests into our educational program.  Our goal is to create an atmosphere of acceptance, equality and respect and where educators and children, as well as parents and caregivers, can form genuine relationships. To discuss your child's learning and activities with their primary educator, you are welcome to contact me at any time during the day.
