Hi, I’m Lydia and the owner of Little Nemos FDC, based at The Aquarena Geraldton.

We provide quality care for children aged from 12 weeks to 8 years. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm Saturday 9am to 12pm. We also run the Creche service for parents wishing to use the facilities at the Aquarena. Creche services need to be booked in advance due to restricted numbers

I came to Geraldton from South Wales in the UK approximately 11 years ago, with my Husband and 2 grown up sons. We have since expanded our family with a daughter in law and a gorgeous grandson.

I have worked in child care for many years in the UK, USA, Europe and now in Australia, working in a variety of centres including Long Day Care, OSHC and Creche. Whilst I was at university I also worked as a Nanny.

At Nemos we use the theory that children learn through play, whilst we do still have a programme each week, it is not set in stone as being flexible is the key to a smooth running day care. We visits parks and local interest places throughout the week also incorporate language, writing and reading skills each day.

All children attending Nemos whether it is through Creche or FDC are treated with respect and dignity. We also encourage children and adults to understand each persons individual strengths and capabilities, to show encouragement and praise for each other.
