ABOUT

ABOUT

I hold a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, and I am currently working towards completing my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. Additionally, I have obtained certifications in First Aid Training, Child Protection, Food Safety/Allergy Awareness, AUSLAN, and possess a Working with Children’s Clearance.

I firmly believe in the uniqueness of each child, and as an educator, I am dedicated to recognising and nurturing their individual strengths, interests, skills, abilities, and knowledge to foster their learning and development. Inspired by the educational philosophy of Rudolf Steiner, which I implement at Earthside Early Learning, I am deeply influenced by his emphasis on enriching the emotional, cognitive, physical, social, artistic, and spiritual dimensions of a child's development. Steiner teaches us that by enhancing these aspects, individuals can creatively realise their full potential as they evolve. In practice, I create an environment where learning and play are self-directed, encouraging curiosity and fostering creativity in children.

Earthside Early Learning takes pride in serving meals for children that are in accordance with the Australian dietary guidelines. These guidelines emphasise the importance of offering young children a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and dairy products to support their growth and development.

In addition to my qualifications and experience in early childhood education and care, I am also a proud owner of a Cocker Spaniel named Coco. Interacting with Coco allows children to develop nurturing skills as they learn to care for and bond with another living being. Moreover, Coco's presence often creates a calming and comforting atmosphere, which can help reduce anxiety and promote emotional well-being among the children in my care. Through supervised interactions with Coco, children also have opportunities to learn about concepts such as respect, communication, and cooperation. Overall, Coco's presence enriches the learning environment, providing valuable lessons in empathy, responsibility, and the joys of companionship for the children I work with.

My dedication to early childhood education is fuelled by a commitment to lifelong learning and professional development. I continuously seek to expand my knowledge and skills through ongoing training, research, and collaboration with peers, striving to create environments that inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning. With a deep-rooted belief in the transformative power of early childhood education, I am dedicated to shaping a future where every child is valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential.
