In my role as an early childhood educator, I intend to provide a loving, safe, secure and home-like environment. To support children to become independent, confident, inquisitive learners, where children are comfortable to engage in learning relationships with one another.
I intend to create a program tailored to each individual child’s strengths, needs and interests to enrich their learning journey. I believe children are more inclined to learn through play-based programs, where they are interested in what they are doing, having fun and can experiment and watch others. I aim to provide a program that is developmentally appropriate, in a child focused environment where the children are provided with experiences and topics that are important to them.
I believe in celebrating the benefits of cultural diversity with each individual child, enabling them to understand and acknowledge differences. I understand that each child is unique, and I intend to support their differences, interests, backgrounds, and developmental stages throughput their learning journey.
I understand that children’s parents are their first and most influential teachers and that is why I intend to develop and maintain positive relationships based on honesty, trust, respect, and two-way communication. I encourage families to contribute to their child’s learning through parent input and involvement.
I have always had a passion for working with children and believe the children play a big part in shaping me to become the best educator I can be. I intend to continue to expand my knowledge of the early years development and to always be open to new ideas and concepts to provide the highest quality of care.
