Welcome to Koala Cuddles Family Day Care!

My name is Amy Fairman and I have my Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care. I have been involved in the childcare industry since 2013. I have family day care experience and have worked in childcare centre’s. I live in beautiful Baldivis in the Highbury Park Estate. Having 3 daughters myself, 2 in Senior School and 1 Primary school age. I understand how important it is for our families to work together and for each child to be acknowledged emotionally, socially and have fun at day care whilst feeling safe and secure.

Being that my eldest and youngest daughters are also a type 1 diabetics, I am confident in my first aid skills and aware of how to manage diabetes. I have also had children in my care with anaphylaxis, asthma and food allergies.

Through play children learn trust, autonomy and initiative. This includes developing family and community partnerships. These partnerships allow for unique opportunities to increase and enhance the potential of each child.

I implement the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) in our daily programming. These daily activities include each of the different learning areas; social, emotional, cognitive, language and gross/fine motor skills. The activities are also planned to be flexible to allow for different learning abilities and spontaneous activities. My vision is to provide young children with a caring, accepting, magical childhood full of discovery.
